The Known Galaxy
The IPC officially defines the collection of charted and surveyed star systems within the Milky Way Galaxy as, The Known Galaxy. Any star system without the Known Galaxy is logged and recorded following a formal survey.
The IPC capital, Magnus Capita, is located in the Centaurus Arm (approx. 8,000 LY from humanity’s home system, the Sol System).
The Known Galaxy is divided into the following sectors:
- Coalition Space is the classification given to any and all systems within direct control of the IPC.
- Void Space is the classification given to any and all space that is not under the direct control of any major factions. Void Space is therefore a lawless region of space in which billions of lifeforms operate by their own means.
